As featured in American Art Collector magazine, Green Currency: Plants in the Economy is an exciting visual exploration of the flowers, trees, fruits, and vegetables that suffuse every level of our global economy.

The Garden’s first medal-awarding juried botanical art exhibition, presented in conjunction with the American Society of Botanical Artists, Green Currency introduces you to the plants that make the world go round and to one of the fascinating disciplines offered by the Garden’s Adult Education Department.

An audio tour in the Gallery features stories about each of the 43 stunning works from the artists who created them.

After viewing the show, head out onto the Garden grounds to see some of the plants in their natural habitats, as indicated by signage.
