Description

Have you ever considered that vegetables could be more than just a side at dinner? Join Asuka Hishiki in exploring the bumps and knobs in the vegetables we encounter everyday in our kitchens, gardens and markets. Often overlooked as botanical subjects because of their more common status as food, vegetables can be quite beautiful on their own. In this two-day workshop held on Friday, November 16 and Monday, November 19, vegetables will serve as students’ muse. Hishiki will share her award-winning techniques as participants learn how to use masking fluid to build the key elements of an object, capturing the hidden character of the vegetables normally enjoyed on our plates. For a complete matierals list, please visit http://thehort.org/pdfs/hishiki_materials.pdf.
