Wave Hill is a beautiful, spectacular 28-acre public garden and cultural center overlooking the Hudson River and Palisades in the Bronx, Wave Hill’s vibrant landscape is one of the most beautiful spots in New York City.
I was very fortunate to be chosen one of the residence artists at the winter workspace program in 2013. The gallery space turned into a workspace for several artists who work in diverse media. It was a very exciting time for me. Imagine, you are almost living and working in a dream garden! Sure, I commuted from my place, but I stayed at the Wave Hill from morning to the closing time every day during 6 weeks, simply painting Wave Hill’s amazing plants and walking in the beautiful gardens. I would say that I technically lived in the garden and had an extremely far bedroom. I think my remark deserves “90% truth proved.
And, now, my paintings and I are back to the garden for a group show and a workshop!
